HAVE YOU GOT SPORTS FEVER?! Well, put the soccer ball down already because we get in deep with all the eSports madness going on in the wide world of games. We cover EVO and the carnal gratification in watching 3d dudes beat up other 3d dudes, The International (DotA2 for the uninitiated) and it’s streaming-for-dummies innovations, and Chris gives us the DL on The Rektreational (the DotA2 tournament for gaming industry insiders), with no small amount of trash talk, to boot.
Then we burn through some NEWs, especially pertaining to Xbox ONE features that you probably thought were ready at launch… and aren’t… quite yet. We also touch on the PS Network (not) being hacked again, along with limp PS4 sales in Japan.
The games on the board this week are Kingdom Rush (because you KNEW this one would come back around eventually), Mortal Kombat 9 with its lovely story mode, and Howie reveals that he’s finally made a new gen console purchase… sorta.
