The Expanded Universe (EU) is DEAD! Yeah we all knew the existing Star Wars books, comics, video games, and any other extra-movie media has been booted out of the canon, but it goes further than that. In February, Lucasarts has told Hasbro to avoid making EU toys like the plague. I’m not sure which plague they meant, but I’m pretty sure it’s not one of the good ones. So what does this mean for us collectors? It means no Voort saBinring action figure (look it up). It’s not all bad though, along with this directive came the announcement that Hasbro would be limiting the production of prequel toys to focus on the upcoming movies and Rebels TV show. The last EU toy that has been confirmed is the Bastila Shan Black Series figure that is due to come out this summer (if my Amazon pre-order is any indication, it should ship at the end of July). So if you want a figure that is almost guaranteed to increase in value, then this one is worth hunting for:
